This is the chunky book pick for the month and I included this one in my highly-anticipated new releases post for January. Publisher’s Synopsis: “Equal parts crime thriller and family saga, transporting readers from the dusty villages of Uttar Pradesh to the urban energy of New Delhi, Age of Vice is an intoxicating novel of gangsters and lovers, false friendships, forbidden romance, and the consequences of corruption. A highly-anticipated debut! Publisher’s Synopsis: “This sweet, enemies-to-lovers debut rom-com filled with Chinese astrology will undoubtedly prove to be a perfect match with readers of Helen Hoang, Jasmine Guillory, and Helena Hunting.”
What Lies in the Woods by Kate Alice Marshall
Genre: Thriller
Pages: 336
Publication: January 17th, 2023
My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I was so fortunate to be able to read an ARC of this book and it quickly became a new favorite thriller of mine. It is a dark and psychological story that will keep you absorbed. The creeping tension and twisty puzzles had me completely immersed from start to finish. I will definitely be reading more from this author.

My honest opinions on this month’s selections:
If you read my post from last month, you’ll know that I was incredibly disappointed with our options in December.
But I’m happy to say that I’m actually super excited for this month’s picks.
As of writing this post, they have not announced any new add-ons yet, but I’m expecting that they will and I will come back to update this post if/when that happens.
But seriously, with how good the selections are and the fact that we have seven to choose from, I don’t really need any more options. I’m having a hard time narrowing it down as it is.
If you have been on the fence about signing up for Book of the Month, this will be a great month to finally take the plunge.
