I highly recommend to any readers that love mythology and retellings! I will definitely be looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.
A Spartan’s Sorrow (The Grecian Women Trilogy #2) by Hannah Lynn
This just really wasn’t the most enjoyable Clytemnestra retelling for me personally, but I am still interested in reading this author’s other retellings with characters I’m not quite as familiar with.
Dark, Evocative, Fantastical Mythology: Clytemnestra by Costanza Casati
This book had me from the start and never let go. If you love Greek mythology, its fantastical stories, and the stark reality of its dark nature, should definitely read this one.
Gritty, Authentic, and Deeply Emotional: The Shadow of Perseus by Claire Heywood
This book had me hooked and I loved every minute of it. I highly recommend this one to readers of all genres. I think everyone will find something they love about this story. It is definitely a five-star read for me and I can’t wait to see what this author blesses us with next!
ARC Review: Children of Ragnarök (The Runestone Saga #1) by Cinda Williams Chima
For me, it was just ok, I found myself wanting to get into it and trying to care more than I actually did. Regardless of my less than glowing own personal experience with this story, I do think that the right audience will like it. If you like books with dense lore, complex mythology, slow-build plot, historical vibes, and more adult high-fantasy in nature, then this might be the perfect one for you.
Mini Book Review: A Thousand Ships by Natalie Haynes
If you love mythology and alluring twists on the classics, you’ll love this book.
Book Review: Circe by Madeline Miller
Madeline Miller’s writing is spectacular and meticulous, the way she is able to say so much with so few words. Every choice is carefully made and has meaning that brings life to the story.
Mini Book Review: Six Crimson Cranes by Elizabeth Lim
I loved every minute of this book and I can’t wait for the sequel! The mythology was exquisite. The plot was a thrilling, gripping adventure, with twists and turns that keep you hooked on every page.
Mini Book Review: Half Sick of Shadows by Laura Sebastian
The plot is dark and dangerous and will keep you turning the pages. It was disturbing and depressing but provocative in the way it was meant to be.
Mini Book Review: Daughter of Sparta by Claire M. Andrews
A tale of a female Spartan hero – say less! Everything you would expect from this book it delivers. Yet another book I’m dying for the sequel to release in 2022.
