There isn’t a lot for me to say about this one because, honestly, it’s one of those that I read and kind of forgot most of it three books later.
Mini Book Review: This Poison Heart by Kalynn Bayron
This one fell a bit short for me. I am on the fence about reading the sequel that comes out next year. There are other similar books I would recommend over this one without a doubt.
Mini Book Review: The Bone Shard Daughter by Andrea Stewart
Honestly, I’m still not really sure what I think about this book. It was different to say the least. Overall, it was kind of bland, not really good or bad per se. It just didn’t really make me feel anything nor did it captivate me in any way.
Mini Book Review: Year One by Nora Roberts
I am saddened that I didn’t enjoy this that much. I love Nora Roberts, but I just couldn’t get into this one. Overall, I was just kind of disappointed at the blandness, a stark contrast to many of her other renowned novels.
Book Review: The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi
It was good but not great – a tad cliché and disappointing with the plot and world-building but the characters saved this story.
Book Review: The Cruel Prince by Holly Black
Overall, it was good, but I felt it a bit lacking to be great. I didn’t quite understand the hype surrounding this book, as it was anything monumental or particularly memorable. Again, it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t amazing either. It’s not a book that left any lasting impression on my heart. I am still interested enough in the plot to pick up the next in the series.
Book Review: Little Nothing by Marisa Silver
Dark, cruel, and not for the lighthearted, Little Nothing is strange in all the best ways. Hard to pin in any one genre, it is somewhere between literary fiction and magical realism. If you are looking for a book that makes you grapple with some of humanity’s most universal and existential crises, this is it.
Book Review: Enchant the Night by Amanda Ashley
Overall I believe that Amanda Ashley is a fantastic writer, whom I highly recommend for anyone that loves paranormal romances. Although this book did have its flaws, I still enjoyed it as an avid reader in this genre.
