I love curating a fresh, new tbr stack for every month! It makes me so excited for the month ahead.
As a mood reader, I never know what I’m going to feel like reading next, so I love to pick a stack that includes a variety of genres.
I curate my tbr list from several places each month: choosing prompts from a jar, book boxes, advanced copies, my local library, and new releases. In this post, I’m sharing the new book releases I’m most excited about in November. You can check out the rest of my tbr list for this month here.
Here are all the new releases I’m super excited to get this month!
New Releases
These are the books coming out this month that I want to buy and read. I am definitely a new release junkie. Every time I get a new book I just want to move it to the front of my tbr stack.
Reading new releases brings me the most joy and gets me the most excited to read, so that’s exactly what I do! I prioritize new books.
Here are the ones I’m most looking forward to in November:
Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros
Genre: Fantasy
Pages: 623
Published: 7th
Of course, y’all knew this one would be on here. I think this is probably the most popular new release right now and the book that everyone is most looking forward to this month. I loved the first book and I can’t wait to continue this story.
Hunt on Dark Waters by Katee Robert
Genre: Fantasy
Pages: 336
Published: 7th
I’ve read two of her other books and thought they were just ok. This is the start to a new series and it sounds really good so I thought I’d give her another try. Honestly though, if I don’t like this one, I’ll probably decide that this author just isn’t for me.
Keep Your Friends Close by Lucinda Berry
Genre: Mystery/Thriller
Pages: 287
Published: 7th
Something about this book has really grabbed my attention. I’ve never read anything by this author before but I’m hopeful to find a new favorite thriller author. This one seems like it’s going to be a fast, fun read. It’s available on Kindle Unlimited, as well as the audio. I’ll probably be listening to it at night while I do my latest obsession of diamond painting.
Where He Can’t Find You by Darcy Coates
Genre: Horror
Pages: 416
Published: 7th
This is a favorite horror author of mine. I was so grateful to receive an early copy of her book that came out earlier this year and I loved it. I can’t wait to read another book from her. I honestly know nothing about it and I don’t even care. I love going in blind. If it’s anything like her last one, it’ll be action-packed and super twisty.
Calamity by Constance Fay
Genre: Science Fiction/Romance
Pages: 320
Published: 14th
A space opera romance!? Say less. That’s really all I need to know. This is going to be the start of a series. It is said that it’s perfect for people who loved Firefly, which I’m obsessed with so I’m expecting great things from this one.
There Should’ve Been Eight by Nalini Singh
Genre: Mystery/Thriller
Pages: 384
Published: 21st
This cover is just a vibe and I need this book in my life. This will be a new to me author and I can’t wait. Yet again, I have no idea what it’s really about. I also really haven’t heard anyone talking about it. I’m hoping to find a hidden gem of a book that I can tell everyone they need to read. I could really use an exciting new thriller in my line up.
The Mystery Guest by Nita Prose
Genre: Mystery/Thriller
Pages: 304
Published: 28th
I absolutely adored the first book in this series and I’ve been dying to read more about Molly. I was actually blessed to get an advanced copy that I am currently reading. I will have a full review to come soon. The Maid is definitely one of my favorite thrillers of all time.
The Butterfly Collector by Tea Cooper
Genre: Historical Fiction
Pages: 400
Published: 28th
I’m not a huge historical fiction reader, but occasionally there is a book that really captivated me. This is one of those. The premise sounds so intriguing, with a twisty mystery at the heart of the story. I love the butterfly theme and this cover is so pretty. I think the main character will be very endearing and the setting will engaging.
Powerless by Lauren Roberts
Genre: Fantasy/Romance
Pages: 523
Published: 7th
I have been seeing and hearing about this book literally everywhere and I haven’t heard one bad thing about. It has recently been picked up by a traditional publishing house. I’m so hoping it lived up to all the hype and that this will become a new favorite series of mine.
Good Girls Don’t Die by Christina Henry
Genre: Horror/Thriller
Pages: 320
Published: 14th
Said to be a sharp, twisty thriller about two women and a remote cabin and that’s really all I need to know. I’ve heard this one mentioned by a few people as one they are looking forward to. It’s a new to me author. I think it’s going to be an exciting page-turner.
The Fiction Writer by Jillian Cantor
Genre: Mystery/Thriller
Pages: 304
Published: 28th
I love books about books. There’s nothing more relatable in a character than their love for reading and writing. It makes for an engaging theme in thrillers. And, let’s be honest, this cover is what sold it for me.
