Here are April’s selections and which ones I’m planning on getting:
Hang the Moon by Jeannette Walls
Genre: Historical Fiction
Pages: 368
Publication: March 28th
I seriously considered getting this one because I’ve been hearing about it so much but I’m pretty confident that my local library will end up getting a copy so I decided to pass on it.
The Only Survivors by Megan Miranda
Genre: Thriller
Pages: 352
Publication: April 11th
I got to read an ARC of this book! If I hadn’t I definitely would have chosen this one. It was so good I would even consider reading it again in the future. It’s my favorite book by this author to date.
My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Romantic Comedy by Curtis Sittenfeld
Genre: Contemporary Fiction
Pages: 320
Publication: April 4th
I’m not at all surprised about this choice as I’ve heard lots of good early reviews for it. I am definitely a mood reader and recently I haven’t been much into contemporary or romance.
Camp Zero by Michelle Min Sterling
Genre: Dystopian
Pages: 304
Publication: April 4th
This is my pick for this month! I’m super excited about this book as I’ve had my eye on it for a while. Plus, it was chosen as the Read with Jenna book club pick for this month. I love watching the interviews with the author after having read the book.
Adelaide by Genevieve Wheeler
Genre: Contemporary Fiction
Pages: 304
Publication: April 18th
I’ve heard amazing this about this contemporary romance as well. It’s not my preferred genre, but for readers who like it I think this is a solid choice you won’t be disappointed with.
Ana María and the Fox by Liana De la Rosa
Genre: Historical Romance
Pages: 352
Publication: April 4th
This book sounds like the perfect blend of historical and romance with plenty of Latin vibes. It has great early reviews and I think romance readers are going to really enjoy it. It is also the start of a new series!
Advika and the Hollywood Wives by Kirthana Ramisetti
Genre: Contemporary Fiction
Pages: 384
Publication: April 11th
I gotta be honest with y’all … I’ve never heard of this book or author, which is super unusual. So I really don’t have much to say here about it! It also has hardly any early reviews on Goodreads (only 29 as of today) so I’m kinda surprised about this pick.
New Add-Ons this month:
The House Is on Fire by
Genre: Historical Fiction
Pages: 384
Publication: April 4th
I almost requested an ARC of this one but decided not to as I was already behind with reading and reviews last month. This sounds like a really emotional story based on true tragedy.
Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross
Genre: Young Adult
Pages: 368
Publication: April 4th
I got to read an ARC of this one! It is such an amazing blend of historical, romance, and fantasy and I really enjoyed it. If I hadn’t read this one already, I absolutely would have chosen it as an add-on.

My honest thoughts about this month’s choices:
I think this month has really great picks! I do wish there was a little more variety instead of three contemporary books But nonetheless, I think this month’s selections cater to a wide audience and I can appreciate that.
I actually got a second book as an add-on from their previous book selections. I got Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. This book has been on my tbr list for a while and a bookish friend of mine convinced me that I need to make it a priority.
So I’m really excited about my two science fiction books for this month!
I really like having seven picks, I see no reason why we can’t have that every month so here’s to hoping for that. Plus, I like that they always add a few new add-ons each month as well.
I’m definitely satisfied with this month and I think many others will be too! This is definitely my favorite subscription box and I don’t see myself getting rid of it any time soon. I just can’t believe it took me so long to finally get it, but I’m so glad that I did.
I hope you find something amazing to add to your shelf! Don’t forget to get the discount ⬇️
