I am loving this series and this one is even better than the first one! This one is super twisty and has so many layers. I enjoyed reading it and highly recommend it to all thriller readers! I really hope there will be more in this series in the future!
Night of the Witch (Witch and Hunter #1) by Sara Raasch and Beth Revis
It was just an okay read for me. I liked it enough though to continue with the series. I am definitely willing to give it another go and see how things develop further. But as someone who has read a LOT of YA fantasy, this isn’t anything mind-blowingly memorable. I just needed a little more of that special something from it.
Pretty Reckless (All Saints High #1) by L.J. Shen
I was so excited to get a copy of this one. But, I have to be honest, it was really a struggle for me. I don’t really know how to feel about it.
Death (The Four Horseman #4) by Laura Thalassa
I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves fantasy and romance! I’m so sad that this is over, but I’m also very happy that it was a satisfying conclusion to all of the events.
Zhara (Guardians of the Dawn #1) by S. Jae-Jones
This was so terribly disappointing. The concepts are so freaking cool and the execution of them is severely lacking in follow through. It definitely needed to go through several more drafts before accomplishing its spectacular potential. I wanted so much to enjoy this and, sadly, I did not.
This series has me in a chokehold like I wish a horseman would: War (The Four Horseman #2) by Laura Thalassa
Each one takes place in a different part of the world. Each horseman has their own unique abilities and motivations. Everything about this series is real and raw.
I am freaking obsessed!!! – Pestilence by Laura Thalassa
I am freaking obsessed!!! OMG I loved this so much. I loved everything about it – the plot, characters, world-building. I’m hooked. Yes, yes, yes, all the stars I need more!
Bonesmith (House of the Dead #1) by Nicki Pau Preto
This is necromancy magic on another level. This whole story is grim and dark and I loved every minute of it. The magic system in this book was so freaking good.
The Throne of Broken Gods (Gods and Monsters #2) by Amber V. Nicole
Second books are hard. Unfortunately, I feel like this one fell into that dreaded sequel hole. This really needed much more time spent in the developmental editing phase.
Heated Rivals (The O’Malleys #2) by Katee Robert
I’ve read several books by this author so far and every single one just feels like the same book. I really hate the instalust. I ended up DNFing this series because I just have no interest to continue and this may just not be an author for me.
It’s good but it didn’t completely live up to its potential: The Jasad Heir (The Scorched Throne #1) by Sara Hashan
When I first saw an Egyptian-inspired fantasy, I was immediately excited to read this. However afterwards, I am middle of the road on this one. It was good, not as great as I felt it had the potential to be.
Dark Water Daughter (The Winter Sea #1) by H.M. Long
I loved every minute of this story! I could not put it down and I can’t wait for the next installment in this series. This is a top must-read fantasy of the year and I recommend it to everyone. You absolutely have to read it! I know you’ll be captivatingly lost in this story just as much as I was.
