ARC Review: The Personal Assistant by Kimberly Belle
I definitely recommend this book to readers of the mystery/thriller genre. I think this will be a popular and well-received release, with its timely and relevant themes and fresh takes within this genre. It’s a solid four stars. I enjoyed my reading experience and I was invested in the outcome. This is an author I would definitely love to read more from.

ARC Review: The Stars Undying by Emery Robin
The author has a brilliant mind for creating intricate multifaceted story worlds with dramatic plots. The sheer scope of this story is impressive and I wanted so badly to be immersed in it. I can see all of this objectively, but I’m afraid the story just wasn’t for me. For readers who do manage to stick it out and grasp the story, I think that science-fiction lovers will enjoy it. It is accurately referred to as a space opera, and that’s the exact feel that I had while reading it. Even though my own experience with it wasn’t exactly raving, I still think it is a commendable debut and I’d be interested to see what this author has in store for us all next.
ARC Review: Children of Ragnarök (The Runestone Saga #1) by Cinda Williams Chima
For me, it was just ok, I found myself wanting to get into it and trying to care more than I actually did. Regardless of my less than glowing own personal experience with this story, I do think that the right audience will like it. If you like books with dense lore, complex mythology, slow-build plot, historical vibes, and more adult high-fantasy in nature, then this might be the perfect one for you.
ARC Review: If You Could See the Sun by Ann Liang
It is an enjoyable read and a decent debut. It feels very magical realism, contemporary, young adult. I really wanted more from it, and I was left with more questions than answers. I think the story in general just lacks a lot of depth. It is almost surface-level with everything. It is a light, fast read, and if that’s what you are looking for in a book then you will definitely like this one.

ARC Review: Daughter of Darkness by Terry Brooks
In Daughter of Darkness, we are again taken on an epic journey with our favorite heroine, Auris. We get to learn more about her past and solve some of the mysteries still left over from the previous book. I really liked seeing her come into her own power. The tale has all the expected plot elements from this series: surprising twists, sorrowful tragedies, and action-packed battles. And it all leads to yet another thrilling conclusion.
ARC Review: The Mountain in the Sea by Ray Naylor
I feel like I’m completely in the minority here, but I didn’t get this book. I really wanted to get into it. I thought the concept sounded so unique and interesting. I expected to nerd out over this book. And I saw such raving reviews about it – maybe it’s just not for me.
ARC Review: Memories, Lies, and Other Binds by Katy Foraker
This is solidly a paranormal, urban fantasy with a mystery plot. With that in mind, fantasy readers who love that sort of story will definitely enjoy this one.
ARC Review: Spells For Forgetting by Adrienne Young
This book should be on everyone’s list to read. Whether you like a mystery, thriller, contemporary, or fantasy, this book contains diverse features that will appeal to many types of readers.
ARC Review: One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig
Mythology, old gods, prophecies, and a kingdom on the brink of death – it is a very intoxicating atmosphere and I was absorbed for every minute. It didn’t completely blow me away enough to reach that 5 star mark, there was just that indescribable spark that was missing to push it into the 5 star category for me, but nonetheless, I loved this book and really enjoyed it.
