This is my first ever bookish subscription box and I couldn’t be more excited about it! I did a lot of research on all the most popular companies and decided to go with the Unplugged box because it not only includes fun bookish items but also self-care goodies as well! There is nothing I love more than fandom décor, a luxury spa atmosphere, and a good book. Every box includes detailed information about each of the items, as well as the vendors, and even discount codes to their shops.
If you’re curious about the Unplugged box, here is my complete and honest review of this month’s items:
Dracula bookmark: of course, what would a bookish box be without a bookmark? I dont know about you but I just love collecting them. This one is a basic bookmark but I would love to see more intricate ones in future boxes, like wood or metal.
Crescent City reading light: I absolutely love this item; it is light weight, portable, and has three brightness settings. It’s USB chargeable (no batteries needed, yay!). Although, the cord it came with is really, really short but it’s just a micro-USB so I have others. Unplugged Exclusive

The Secret History candle: I love that it has a wood wick. It has a sweet smell that is not too overpowered. I’ve burned it for hours and it’s still going strong. It is hand-poured and 100% vegan soy wax.
The Bone Maker hand and foot scrub: I couldn’t find much information on this product or its ingredients. It didn’t even have a label on it. But it smells delicious and it made my skin feel super soft. I am loving it!

Little Fires Everywhere shampoo bar: This is my least favorite item in this month’s box. I do not like the smell, at all. I’m also not sure I would use something like this on my hair.
Grey’s Anatomy mug cake: Bring on the nostalgic Easy-Bake oven vibes! This was super easy and fun to make and it was delicious. I love the uniqueness of this item and it tugged at my millennial heart strings.

Romeo and Juliet lip scrub: This is another favorite of mine from this box – perfect for chapped lips on a windy spring day. It is edible and all-natural. It felt luxurious, made my lips so smooth, and tasted good too.
And this month’s book is…

I’m really looking forward reading this book. I had never heard of it before but it sounds like it’s going to be really good. I like that Unplugged has chosen a book that hasn’t been overhyped on all the social media because I’m always looking for new, interesting authors to explore. It currently has just under 500 ratings on Goodreads with a score of 3.92.
