Publisher’s Synopsis:
Wolf God:
“Some monsters just need to be tamed. The Dark Wolf God was a monster of legend-a shifter so powerful that he could lay waste to the world and make alphas bow before him. I didn’t believe he was real. Then four weeks ago, he attacked my pack and nearly ended my life. Now he’s claimed me. When a war with the fae threatens his realm, he tears me from my world and makes me his captive. He believes I have the power to free him from a curse, but unless I figure out what kind of magic I have, he’ll never let me go. He’s my enemy, but there’s no denying the heat between us or the bond that ties us together. Should I defy the monster, or could the man behind the beast be redeemed? If you love alpha heroes with dark souls, tortured pasts, and an obsession with the woman who could bring them to their knees, sink your teeth into this enemies-to-lovers paranormal/fantasy romance.
Wolf Samantha & Cadean, Book 1 of 3 *This is part 1 of a dual-POV, slow-burn romance with an HEA in Book 3 and increasing steam. It is a standalone series. However, if you want to learn more about the events that gave rise to this story, you can sink your teeth into the completed Wolf Bound series.”
Hunter’s Kiss:
“The fate of two kingdoms rests on Samantha’s shoulders, but she doesn’t know who to the ruthless fae queen who knows her hidden destiny, or the murderous god that she’s falling for. I thought I’d escaped the Dark Wolf God, but now, my sworn enemy might be my only hope. His brother is toying with my freedom, and the queen of the fae has put me in checkmate. To save the people I care about most, I must infiltrate her court and beat her deadly trials. There’s no one I can turn to except the Dark God. He’s vowed to be my protector and help me master the secrets of my magic, but how far can I trust him or my heart? Will the bond between us be enough, or will his darkness consume us both?
Hunter’s Kiss is part 2 of a dual-POV, slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers romance with a HEA in Book 3. Along the way, you can expect high-stakes action, shifting alliances, and steamy romance set in a fantasy world.
If you love alpha heroes with dark souls, tortured pasts, and an obsession with the woman who could bring them to their knees, this romantasy is for you!”
My Review:
Wolf God:
I want to start by saying that I truly thought this could be a five star read for me. It seems like something I would really love. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy this one like I thought I would. I really struggled with the writing style. It was very telling and not showing. It read a little juvenile to me, which I was not expecting considering the content. The story wasn’t giving me the depth that I wanted. It’s such a fascinating concept and I expected to really be absorbed into the world and I wasn’t. I didn’t particularly care for the characters either. I can understand the people saying how much the female main character annoyed them. I was also expecting more romance, or at least more building tension. Maybe my experience with these just didn’t live up to what my expectations were going in. Between that and the writing style, it just didn’t hook me or keep me engaged.
Hunter’s Kiss:
I really tried to read this one, even after not really liking the first one all that much. But it was just way too slow and I already didn’t care. Unfortunately, I think these books are just not for me and that’s okay. I’m glad to see so many people loving them. I hate feeling like the bad guy here. But reading is such a personal experience and everyone’s is different. I am simply sharing mine. I know how much hard work and dedication and part of your soul that indie authors put into their books. I’m not trying to say that they are bad or the author is bad. They just weren’t for me, nothing more nothing less. So don’t let me put you off if you are wanting to read them.
