My Review:
WOW I loved this! A little backstory on my experience with this series… I actually DNF’d the first book when it came out but later on decided to give it another try. I felt like everyone was raving about it but I just didn’t originally have the same feelings for it that everyone else did, which made me want to give it another try. I still didn’t love the first book that much but there was just something about this story that made me want to stick with it. (This is actually the same exact thing that happened to me with The Cruel Prince series as well – which I’m also glad I gave another shot at.) And I’m so glad I did because this second one was way better than the first for me. I loved that we got so much more depth into the lore and the story world. The main character grew on me and I found that I was finally rooting for her. I also really liked the budding relationship that is building more and more in this second book. I’m glad I decided to give this series another try because I’m not disappointed. Now I can’t wait for the final book to come out here soon! I just love the premise of this series and I love the story world and I’m now officially hooked into the plot and attached to the characters so I’m definitely ready to find out what happens next.
