ARC Review: The Mountain in the Sea by Ray Naylor
I feel like I’m completely in the minority here, but I didn’t get this book. I really wanted to get into it. I thought the concept sounded so unique and interesting. I expected to nerd out over this book. And I saw such raving reviews about it – maybe it’s just not for me.

ARC Review: In the Shadow Garden by Liz Parker
This is an insane debut that reads like it’s from a seasoned author.
It’s an expertly crafted experience you are sure to savor. I was sucked into the drama and the intrigue, flat-out hooked, and I couldn’t get enough.
ARC Review: Signal to Noise by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
This one fell flat for me. The characters are flat, the setting is flat. It just felt very underwhelming and as a whole underdeveloped. I didn’t find much that felt relatable with the characters. I didn’t experience the depth that I felt this story had the potential for.

ARC Review: The Liar’s Crown by Abigail Owen
I have mixed feelings about this one. While there are certain aspects that I absolutely loved, there are also things that fell short for me. I think it is a solid 3-star experience and many readers are going to fall on either side of that.
ARC Review: The Dragon’s Promise by Elizabeth Lim
I didn’t love this one as much as the first book. In general, it just lacked the spark and magic of the first book that captivated me so well.
ARC Review: Belladonna by Adalyn Grace
This story is my newest obsession – the gothic vibes, the snark and charm of the characters, and the swoon-worthy relationships. It’s a tale of murder-mystery and coming-of-age, in a historical setting.
ARC Review: When Stars Come Out by Scarlett St. Clair
There is an element of creeping tension, dark undertones, and a permeating sense of foreboding that hooked me in from the start. This story is expertly-crafted intrigue and slowly-thickening tension, all bound into a plot full of truly unexpected twists and turns. It’s a masterful piece of building layers that makes this story so amazing. I genuinely couldn’t put this book down and I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.
ARC Review: Stealing Infinity by Alyson Noël
Grey Wolf Academy is the newest fictional school we all wish we could go to. The sense of foreboding from the very beginning grapples readers into a story full of mystery and intrigue. The historical accuracy of the art and culture is an exciting point of interest that makes the story truly immersive. The sequence of the events is expressed in vivid detail that transports you into time and place. With the slow-build adventures and developments, I can only imagine how much more is to come. This is a series I don’t see fizzling out in future installments. I think we’ve just barely begun this wild ride.
